Northern Chinese food is famous in their hand-made noodles and dumplings. This is what Sea Bay handmade noodle restaurant is all about. I am a huge fan of noodles, from rice noodle, egg noodle, ramen, udon, hokkien, vermicelli. I have special requirement for each types. So in determining whether the noodle is good or not, these are the things I looked at: size/thickness, shape, colour and chewiness. Handmade noodles should be slightly different in size. If you see each noodle are exactly the same size, I can almost ensure you that is a machine made noodle.

Fried handmade noodles with beef, $10.80
Everyone in the restaurant were ordering this noodle dish, so I decided to order it just for the safe side. Didn’t have to wait too long before food arrived on the table. Very generous portion of noodle, tomato, celery, capsicum, beef mince and cabbage. The worse noodle you would ever wanted to try are those with heaps of noodle but no other ingredients or a lot of meats and veges but no noodle. However, I reckon this one is well balanced.
Pork and chive dumplings, 12 for $8.8
Waitress advised us when we ordered the dumplings it would take about 10mins. Usually when they set a time it means things are being wrapped and made fresh. So I didn’t mind waiting. The meat inside are juicy and moist, not oily and the skin are pan fried to a light golden brown on the bottom. I was impressed with the crispiness and thinness of the skin. I will definitely come back again!
Conclusion: I strongly recommended this restaurant if you don’t feel like cooking and need something quick and cheap. Parking are also extremely easy as you can park for free in Westfield or Burwood plaza for 3 hours. For a painless price you can enjoy the beauty of hand-made noodles. As you would notice by now, anything that involve labour in Aus would cost you a fortune!

oh cool! i haven’t seen this place before. my bf lives in croydon so we often go to burwood for dinner.. and i am absolutely in love with noodles (especially rice noodles)..
Me and My wife eat there all the time, its a pretty good restaurant, always busy may have to wait for 10 mins, but its worth the wait people actually don’t mind to wait when the food is that delicious. I persoanlly like the fried lamb roast , everything is made fresh from the scratch as most homemade resturants are. The noddle taste smooth and fresh, you have wide range of choice.
I must try the fried lamb roast next time
